This durable trashcan utilizes the most advanced sensor technology found in all Nine Stars trashcans.

As your hand or debris comes within a 10-inch and 130-degree angle from the infrared sensor, the lid will automatically open. The lid will remain open if debris or a hand remains within the range of the infrared sensor. Three seconds after your hand moves away from the lid, it closes automatically. The power lasts at least 6 months in normal daily usage and requires batteries (not included).

The trashcan includes a garbage bag ring to keep the bag hidden from public view, maintaining a neat and clean appearance. If the lid does not open, you should first make sure the power is on by pressing the power button, then check if the batteries are placed correctly, and finally, wipe the sensor with a dry cloth.

The water-resistant infrared motion sensor prevents moisture or any accidental spills from damaging the unit, and the fingerprint-resistant stainless steel base helps keep the can clean. The advanced technology includes a delay sensing feature that preserves battery life and prevents any unnecessary opening from pets, children, or passersby. The trashcan requires 2 D batteries (not included), and alkaline batteries are highly recommended for the best performance.
